July Prayer Update

PRAISES

  • LOCATION: God blessed us in a BIG way! Our top pick to meet as a church when we launch has been Sidney Lanier Middle School and Jesus blessed us with this location. God has also given us favor with the County of Fairfax through this process. With a confirmed location, we trust that Christ will launch Harvest Fairfax at 10am on September 9th. It’s an incredible location with great visibility, accessibility, that is central to Fairfax! We have much to praise him for!
  • HARVEST PHILADELPHIA: Dan and Jaime Buraga were blessed to spend a weekend at Harvest Philadelphia getting to know Pastor Matt Townsend and his wonderful family. The Buragas were blessed by the warm reception from the church on Sunday. Harvest Philadelphia launched in September of 2011 and as we follow close behind in their footsteps we have much to learn from them.
  • FAITHFUL GOD: God has been faithful in providing for our needs! As a team, many families and individuals have been attacked by Satan, but we have grown in our zeal for Christ’s kingdom and trust him to use us for greater purposes.

PRAYER REQUESTS

  • LAUNCH FUND: We are trusting that the Lord provides for the launch. Would you please consider furthering the gospel in a strategic area by giving sacrificially? You can give online here: http://www.harvestfairfax.org/online-giving
  • EQUIPMENT: Please pray that God would allow all our equipment to be ordered and delivered in time. Also that it would function well. This is critical to our worship service and Children’s Discipleship.
  • LAUNCH TEAM: Pray that the Lord would add an increasing number to our team as we head towards launch. Pray that those he brings would be gifted in areas we lack and be ready to make a commitment that honors Christ.
  • RYAN & SHANNON: a great young couple on our team, are getting married on July 14th. Would you please pray that their wedding would celebrate Christ and that their marriage would be founded on him.
  • FIELD TRIP: Our team is headed up to Harvest Philadelphia on August 18th. We hope to learn much from their processes and experience. Pray that this would be a very encouraging trip that would give us great momentum towards launch Sunday.
  • BRINCKLEYS: Pray that Lee and Debra’s house in Davenport would sell soon.
  • THE HARVEST: Pray that the Lord of the harvest would prepare our team to make many disciples and pray that Jesus would draw many unsaved to himself. Pray for boldness, tact, and respect for us who share. Also for receptive & responsive hearts for those who hear.
  • OUR GOAL: Our ultimate goal is to glorify Jesus. Pray that this doesn’t become a cliché but a reality in the mundane and major steps of Harvest Fairfax.
