Prayer Updates for January

Thank you for praying.  As the first steps on Fairfax soil are taken, we rest in two truths - only Jesus can build His church and prayer is the fuel of our journey.  Please continue to praise the Lord with us for His blessings and provision and stand before Him on behalf of our continued needs.  You are loved!

Praises

  • Dan arrived safely in Fairfax this past week and has began meeting people, making contacts and securing locations for Vision Nights.
  • Lee Brinckley has secured the job at LeapFrog Solutions in Virginia and will begin work there on January 16.
  • A fifth couple has been added to the team!  Brian and Kay Billman will be joining the team from Harvest Davenport.  They anticipate moving to Fairfax sometime in early April.
  • Mike and Linda Bowker were able to travel to Fairfax to assist Dan with the first Vision Night.
  • A location has been secured for the first Vision Night!  The Fairfax City Library is centrally located, in good condition and is free of charge!
  • Two people are already expected to be in attendance for the Vision Night!

Prayers

  • Please lift up our first Vision Night this Thursday, January 12, from 7-9 PM.  Some specific areas of prayer for the Vision Night include

-finances for the evening

-that the Lord would draw people in to hear about the work that He is doing and  stir theirhearts to become a part 

  • Pray for wisdom on where to have future Vision Nights and that the Lord would provide more locations.
  • Lift up Brian and Kay Billman as they begin to make preparations to move to Virginia.  They are also expecting their second child in February, so we ask that you cover their family in prayer during this time of great transition.
  • Ben Garcia - the director of Worship Arts - is searching for a full-time job that will provide for his family, have needed benefits and will also allow him the flexibility he will need to lead worship.
  • Lee Brinckley heads out to Virginia on January 14 to begin his new job.  Pray for his family as they will be apart for several months.  Please also pray for their house to sell.
  • Dan and Jaime continue to seek the Lord for a buyer for their house.  Jaime and the kids are still in Davenport as they wait for this final piece of the puzzle.  Please lift them up during their time of separation and pray the Lord would bring buyers soon.
  • Would you also pray that the Lord would continue to grow the launch team, bringing workers for His harvest field that are committed, compelled and contagious.
